While there seem to be an array of snack options for those wanting to maintain a healthy, balanced diet – ‘skinny’ blueberry muffins or high-energy cereal bars to name just two – more often than not they are packed full of refined sugar.
IIFYM stands for If It Fits Your Macros- a term used to describe a “diet” where you eat as clean as possible, but allow for a little freedom when it comes to processed foods such as donuts, chocolate and peanut butter of course. Another name for this is flexible dieting. The concept is that as long as you fit in all your daily needs for macronutrients (protein, carbohydrates and fats) then you can treat yourself to a little junk here and there.

After any form of workout – a cardio class, HIIT session or even a ten-minute circuit at home – I like to end with a short stretch routine. I’ve tried many gym classes over the years, from the standard spin session to the newer, ballet inspired classes and my personal view is that post workout stretching isn’t always given the attention it deserves.
